Still exhausted. Got some sleeping pills to help me sleep and because I think I am having some post-surgery mental funk and keep freaking out at bedtime. It helped a bit last night but one night of full sleep does not--unfortunately--undo sleep deprivation. I've re-read Divergent, and read The Invisible Life of Addie Larue and Feversong in the last week. The authors notes at the end about her struggle with carbon monoxide poisoning was... a lot. I am hoping she is doing well these days. I had also tried reading A Discovery Of Witches, but I think the writing still just isn't quite right for me. I restarted it three times and just... Felt blegh about it.
Also been trying to eat a reasonable diet, which is kind of difficult because I'm a food hedonist. I like delicious, decadent things. Like browned butter in brownies with chocolate chips, pepperjack mac and cheese... Absolute torture because I need to go easy on dairy, greasy and fatty foods for a little while so my stomach can adjust to not having the gallbladder to filter stuff. Oh well--I've gotten good at cooking fish and chicken quickly, and the added fruits is probably good for my chronically low energy levels. I hope.
